I'm on the 3.01 OS with a 3g iphone.

Lately, I've been having issues listening to voicemail.

For example, someone will leave a voicemessage. A minute later I'll go to the visual voicemail and click on that particular message, but it won't play. The "hourglass" icon will just sit there and it won't play.

Only if I try again in about 15 minutes will it finally play.

I've received numerous messages and I've had to wait an extended period of time for each message to "load" up.

An AT&T level 2 tech told me that they are making some "enhancements" to visual voicemail that could be causing visual voicemail delays. He did not know when the work would be done.

Hourglass?

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe it's just me but, this is ridiculous. So we're supposed to just sit around and wait for the voicemails to work?

It's been almost 30 minutes now and I still can't access the voicemail.

Interesting. The other day, my wife called me but I just never got the call. As far as I know, I was not in and dead area, at the time I was just driving home. This was at 4:20pm. It wasn't until after 10pm that my phone vibrated and said I had a new voice mail.
