Oh my goodness. Can you just call AT&T for this instead of posting a new topic? Everyone else understands that ALL of AT&T's plans are nationwide, and it says it on their rate plans' FRONT PAGE.
You understand that if everyone posted this sort of an elementary question, we'd be inundated with so many questions that we wouldn't actually be able to discuss important Mac..RUMORS, right?
Geez, take it easy. Sure, I could have called AT&T, but this site is LOADED with questions that people could find the answers to someplace else, and like lots of people I enjoy the discussions that happen here. Is it really so terrible that I asked this question?
Besides, I didn't post this question without trying to find an answer first. I looked at
Apple's iPhone pricing plan page, and although it has a lot of information about the plans -- including things I thought should be obvious -- it doesn't say
a thing about long distance or roaming. I thought that was a curious omission, since lots of people who might buy iPhones are not current AT&T customers and wouldn't know if those are standard on all of AT&T's plans.
Then I looked at AT&T's web site, and it was not immediately apparent to me that all of their plans are nationwide. Their
"rate plans' FRONT PAGE" says that the 'individual' plans include long distance and roaming, but I didn't see it on their other plans, particularly their data plans. The iPhone's plan seems to be a 'data' plan so I thought I'd ask the nice people here at MacRumors if they could confirm that it includes LD and roaming.
Sorry I ruined your whole day. I hope you have a better one tomorrow.
