Anyone in the Long Island area havling trouble connecting to Optimum WiFi? I have had no luck once so ever, yet I can connect with my iPhone just fine.
When I join the hotspot, the log in screen pops up from the bottom, I enter my password, then it just freezes. I then have to exit Safari. It's very annoying.
I even tried it while standing under one of their WiFi antennas. WiFi strength shows 3 bars as well.

Thanks.

Haven't tried it yet but this is good to know. I have enough wifi issues at friend's houses and such without trying to figure out issues with Optimum. :(

I don't have any other wifi problems. My house is fine, restaurant wifi is fine, iPhone MyWi is fine. Just optimum wifi is giving me a problem.

iPad and optimum wifi

Curious if you ever solved is problem. My iPad would not connect to any optimum wifi on metro north, though my iPhone and MacBook pro would without issue.

I have the 3G and on Saturday I connected to one of the Optimum WiFi spots just fine... I was in a diner :)
Later in the day I tried to connect to one out in the Mattituck area and couldn't... but it was because the signal just wasn't strong enough.
