Long term forum lurker seeks UK selling advice!

Hi Guys,

I am a long term forum lurker who is looking for some advise on where to sell some old hardware (in the UK).

I have a 24" 2.8Ghz c2d IMac with 4Gb in it that's not too old, and i would like to replace with a mbp for the wife.

I have had my fair share of bad ebay experiences and so i am looking for somewhere else (forum, online classifieds etc. ) to sell it.

Any ideas/good experiences anywhere?

Mac's get good prices on eBay... so might be worrth a go, or i might take it off you if i can make a bit on ebay, as I use eBay alot and have alot of feedback etc.

I have sold 2 macs one of ebay and one on my works internal noticeboard, they dont seem hard to get rid of second hand Macs and few and far between it seems...

Where in the country are you?! How much are you looking for? and I'll ask my friends if they want it.

I'm not too sure what its worth to be honest. I had a bit of a look around and reckon top end would probably be about £800ish but i'd be happy with £750 and I could get it couriered. It was originally couriered to me and I still have the original packaging so it should be fine.

If you're anywhere near local I am in Reading...happy to arrange collection or maybe I could deliver if its local(ish)?!

Clean fresh install of snowleopard
original box
original cd's etc.

Start from the people you know, ask if anyone of them is interested. If they aren't, then try Craigslist for example. ALWAYS meet in public and accept cash only.
