hi all,

i just wanted to say how much i am loving the Air after having it for about 3 days. I am a long time PC user but wasn't stupid enough not to see the benefits of Macs, i just never really had the money to buy one. i got this Rev A on Ebay for £840 still cellophane wrapped which i was very happy with as its going to be used mostly for internet and mail in the living room of my new house.

Anyway, i'm sure there will be plenty of posts in the future but i'll do the best i can to get as much info as i need out of the search function!

at the moment i have no idea how to do a lot of stuff so its going to be fun learning.

Darren

Awwwww...

This is going to be an adventure for you. My first MBA (Rev A) was my first Mac, and it was so much fun to see how different mac was from PC.

My MBA is my first Mac, too. AWESOME is the only word I can use to describe it.

I just installed Windows 7 (need it for Visual Studio) through bootcamp and also access the partition through vmware. I am really impressed with how well it runs Win 7 let alone Leopard. I've only been a Mac user for about 3 weeks, but I already know I am done with PCs (at least as my main machine).

Congrats! The MBA is sure a joy to use!

I was a PC user for years as well. I am happy to have made the switch!

Enjoy! :)

well i did all the software updates today. Very pleased with the wifi speed as well. IT picked up the 600mb leopard update in about 6 minutes which bearing in mind the router is several rooms floors away i was suprised at. It would have taken about 4.5 through the wire with our download speed.

I have got coolbook and smcfancontrol running but when i push up the load in coolbook the temp will rise but the fan speed doesnt budge. mine doesnt seem to shift past 2500 unless i manually tell it to.

I'm loving it and hope the fianceé does too when i show her (its our "yay we bought a house and are in scarey debt for 25 years" present lol).
