I am in no way a professional videographer. In fact, since I've had my iPhone X, I have never recorded any video until 2 weeks ago when I attended a music convention. I was inspired while listening to start recording. I made no selections on the iPhone X accept I ensured it was recording in 4K. In no way did I select any kind of volume setting. I can't believe how well the recordings came out. It made my recordings look professional! For some of them, I was sitting way in the back and they still came out as if I was upfront. I can only imagine the outcome when I learn how use all the features of the phone to their full extent.

I posted them all on YouTube. Please remember Safari does not allow you to view YouTube at resolutions above 1080p. You will have to view in Chrome or some other browser to see them at 1440p or 2160p. It is absolutely awesome at 1440p and 2160p.

Disclaimer: These were recorded at a Gospel Music week-long bash. If that type of music is not your cup of tea, please don’t listen.

I really like the way this one looks:

Keep you day job.
LOL I will.

I can't believe how easy that was. Do professionals use the iPhone X? Maybe I could take a class and learn how to record professionally and offer my services at small gatherings?

In an absolute pinch, but it's not a tool anyone would pay you to use at an event. Tiny sensor, limited recording space, overheats on long recordings, it's also a phone, etc. I shoot documentaries and other content for a living and I pull out my X in only the most desperate of situations. Not allowed to bring a camera in where our subject is going, a camera breaks down, etc. I'll shoot 4K 24fps in Filmic Pro to at least get something where otherwise i'd have gotten nothing.

Perhaps somewhere like reddit.com/r/videography is a good place to look around to start if you're interested in doing this stuff professionally. Otherwise, just enjoy the phone! It's great for impromptu stuff. Stills are awesome too - took all of these on the X: https://imgur.com/a/Nisbv

Agreed, I shoot photography with my trusty Canon, but iPhone's camera is good for in a pinch video recording/photography.

And by the way, those are some pretty well done photographs with the X!

I am very serious. I would like to get started. I really enjoyed recording. Thanks for the information.
