Yep... it seems to be coming pretty soon now (before WWDC?).
Just a question: which beta is this? I had the "first posted" beta, and was very unstable. I can't remember the build, but it was posted in April.
I hope yours is better..... even usable!

Quark is Dead

I've tried this beta, and it's buggy as any previous version of Quark. Mac OS X has been available for more than two years, and Quark has delivered too little, too late for the new Mac system.
Quark wants us all to ditch our Macs, and move to Windows. This is why they've been stalling for so long with XPress 6.

It's time to move on to an all-Adobe design suite, with InDesign as the page layout program. After all, Adobe started the electronic publishing revolution with PostScript, and they still have a stronghold on the publishing industry.

Note that Quark still refuses to post a release date for XPress 6. We'll be lucky to see it before next year, and I for one am ready to move on to something better.

Dan

It is good news, that it's finally coming. Not only fot the sake of "having options"...
But, is it really too little too late? There are so many out there that seem to have jumped over to InDesign. I must admit that the couple of people I know who use Quark (4.1 mostly), still don't use OS X. Maybe this is the final nail in the OS 9 coffin.
Let's hope the final version will be the best build of Quark XPress ever!

It better be...

If the past is any indicator of the future -- it'll be another 5-10 years before the next "full" release is offered for the Mac platform. ;)
