I don't think those work on the new iPod

The old one should work fine. I have a AC adapter carried over from a 2nd gen Touch and it works flawlessly.

I had to find a new charger because I went from a 5.5 classic iPod to a 4G iPod Touch. It is my understanding that the iPod Touch has been using the same charger for several generations.

Edit, I just bought a 3rd one, because they are working so well for me. I keep one at work, and have two at home so I can charge two of my iPods at once without having to connect to a computer.
