Looking ahead to next year, iPhone 8?

So now the iPhone Upgrade Program is available in the UK, when stock is available I'm totally in.
And for the first time in my 6 years of iPhone ownership (iPhonership??) I've realised that I won't be tied to a 2 year contract from the operators.

Got me thinking; what will be next?

Will it be called iPhone 8?

Or will it be the iPhone X?

(I do wonder when the numbering convention will end, i think once you get into double digits it gets messy)

I think we'll see an iPhone 7s.

I don't think the 10 year anniversary will have any impact on the design or road map Apple are working to.

This rumour circulated on the past after the iPhone 4 launch. Every rumour insisted we wouldn't see an iPhone 4s.

And we got an iPhone 4S, 15 months after the iPhone 4 no less.

I do miss the 4. Its hands down my favourite design of any iPhone or phone to date. Id love a 4 SE+ come to think of it.
