I second Better Touch Tool. I think I've seen middle click settings for it, I don't use that, but I extensively use the gesture customizations and it's great. You can also customize it to do different things based on how many fingers click, etc, and you can also use it for window snapping (which is a must for me) and so much more. BTT is a great utility!

If you want that functionality and the potential to automate just about all things on the Mac, I make daily use of Better Touch Tool.
Does MIDDLE allow you to make it 2 finger click? For Better Touch Tool, if I don't have a touchbar macbook pro will it work as normal?

Another +1 for BTT. can't imagine using my MBP without it :)

Better Touch Tool refers more to trackpad and mouse touch than toucbar in it's name, it existed before touchbar was a thing.
