I currently have a rubbishy DVD recorder that has a hard drive. It's incredibly noisy, the interface sucks and I want to replace it.

What I want is a Hard drive-less DVD recorder (Blu ray would be good) that can record to DVD discs, and also to USB (Flash drives, external HDD, etc.) I then want to transfer the files to my mac and stream the recordings from my Apple TV.

Obviously, a wifi-enabled player that can send the files directly to my computer or a network drive would be better

Are there any good DVD recorders that can do this well?

I'm probably taking a few steps backwards for you but why not just use Handbrake, Ripit or DVDRemaster?

Because I want one that doesn't have a hdd, and ripping a DVD every time I use it would be a pain. I think that there are sometimes compatibility issues as well
