Looking for a gorgeous organizer app

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle.
Starting April I will be working cruise ship for a 4 month contract and I'm looking for an organizer that would let me post my upcoming work schedule (ranging from 10 to 18 days ahead) and display a nice "what I have to do today" screen on its main screen.

Now I know I'm picky, but I'm also want it to be drop dead gorgeous UI. Maybe something similar to Momento's UI or Foobi's.

It's also worth mentioning that I have indeed looked at '2Do', 'Awesome Note', and 'Things' and none of them looked particularly great to me (and not very useful either).

Here's a great example of what I want: Teux Deux. It's minimalistic but it also lacks some features that I would need like repeating items and hours for particular events. They say they're coming out with an iPhone app but until then?

[app]Pocket Informant[/app], not gorgeous, but definitely functional, and my personal favorite.

[app]Organizer[/app], a definite favorite in the Japan iTunes store.

[app]Refills[/app], a recent favorite in the Japan iTunes store.
 
I would recommended checking out Remember The Milk if you haven't already. Both the website and iPhone app are awesome, and have the repeating tasks that you need. The iPhone app is gorgeous, functional and well worth the $25/yr pro subscription IMO. I've tried Things, OmniFocus, 2Do, ToDo, ToodleDo, Pocket Informant, and others, and have always come back to RTM.
 
It really is up to your personal needs, Pocket Infoemsnt fits my needs well as an ESL teacher with students that come at irregular times with it's monthview timebars. I also don't have enough tasks that I would know I need to open a task app everyday, but Pocket Informant puts tasks and events in the same view, so I always know both my events and taske for an day.

Out of all of those apps, RTM looks like what I need but I can't be online all the time on the ship. It's very slow and extremely expensive.

So if anyone knows of such offline apps, please help me out.

edit: Oh and, no offense, but Pocket Informer looks downright ugly.
 
RTM can be used offline. It will try and sync when you open the app, but if you don't have a data connection you still get full functionality, apart from push notifications obviously.
 
RTM would be the one if I didn't have to spend the money. Purchasing an app is one thing, but just for syncing (because I don't even need that), I'm not going to pay $25.
 
Yeah, I see your point :)

in that case, I'd suggest taking a look at Taskpaper. I has the ability to sync with it's mac counterpart app, but in no way relies on this. It's gorgeous in it's simplicity, and i'd be using it if I weren't so hooked on rtm.

Forgive my totally ignorance. I have a mac that I don't use to its full potential and wanted to start to get to know the apple world better as I plan on upgrading to a nicer imac and an iphone in the Summer. Anyway, I thought macs had some ical app or something like that that stores all your dates, contacts.... all that stuff an organizer does. And also syncs up your iphone to your imac through that magical cloud thingee. Am I completely wrong or does this thing exist and people just don't like it.

And how come this site's auto spell check keeps telling me iMac and iPhone aren't spelled right? :confused:

The calendar app on the iPhone is pretty limited in features.
