Hi All,

New here so I hope this is the right place to post this. I am looking for a Photography app. I want something to replace the pen and paper I carry to record info and notes from my day out shooting. ie photo location, date, time weather, and comments etc, future time to visit that location where I expect the shooting might be better. As well as a place to enter locations I would like to go in the future, Like so many of us do see an article in a magazine then we want to go there to try shooting it ourselves. So far it would seem to me that almost all of the apps in the photography section of the app store aren't really photography apps at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

It sounds more like you need a database program than a photography one.

Do you have a Mac? I suggest Bento 3 for the Mac and then using the Bento iPhone app to sync with it. You can manually change the forms to whatever you want.

I suggest Bento because I enjoy creating the forms on the computer and then syncing to my phone rather than having to do everything on the phone itself. Of course, anything I put in the phone later is synced back to the computer, giving me a nice backup. It's always good to have your data in multiple places. (If you use Windows I don't know what program to suggest, but there are probably similar ones out there.)

For one example, I've made a database for video projects I work on where I want to know what resolutions the videos exist in (it could be multiple versions). So my database for that project contains this feature. (See photo)

You can insert whatever lines or check boxes you want and name them anything you want to.

hmmm

That looks like the ticket, I use Windows. I actually did find a DSLR tool kit in Itunes has something that might be useful.

Thanks,
