I know there are a lot of things that will let you configure auto-dim.

I want to find something that completely turns it off.

I have caffeine 2, which disables your auto-lock setting on an app by app basis.

Right now, for example, I have photos toggled with caffeine. When I am in the photos app, the iPhone will NEVER lock.

However, the screen still dims after one minute, since my general settings for auto-lock are one minute. I do not want to change my auto-lock, but I do want to supress the auto-dim. It's too bad caffeine doesn't have this toggle. but alas.

Any ideas?

Whats the problem with setting auto-lock to never? The screen would never dim.

Sure, it doesn't work on an app by app basis but you'd get rid of the dimming issue.

BC I DO want the iPhone to autolock, I just don't want it to auto-dim BEFORE auto-locking...

I see a couple of different sections where it talks about excluding an app ... can you send a screen shot of where specif. you mean? Thanks!

Click on excluded apps then find Photos and toggle it on.

Thanks! What does that second option do, "dim apps with disabled timer?"

Not sure because I never used that option. My guess would be you can force apps to dim that never dim because of it actively doing something. Like video playback maybe.
