Okay, I'm working on a new screenplay and when I work I'd much rather talk the script out and write it down later. If I have to I'll go get a cheap digtal voice recorder, but I figured I'd ask if there's anything like that available (hopefully for free)? It'd be great if it could automatically record each bit into seperate audio files so I could quickly delete snippets that aren't usefull to me. Anyone know of a program like this? Thanks!

Well I'm using a G5 imac running Panther and if the built in mic doesn't work for me I was going to rig up my sennheiser ME66K.
Just out of curiosity, would anyone be able to recomend an actual voice recorder (preferably digital) thats good?
Oh wow thanks Aswitcher! that'll work perfect! I didn't even think to look at Quicktime! I'm still considering an actual voice recorder too so I can work when I'm not at my place so I'm still open to recomendations regarding that!

My advice, If QT pro does it, then do it there, and with the new G5 iMac, Garage Band should be installed, do it there, or iMoive can even do it, just not as pretty.
