Looking for a way to get Super Bowl on AT&T iPhone

It looks like Verizon has exclusive rights to stream the AFC / NFC championships and Super Bowl on mobile cellular devices. I tried tethering a MBP to my old iPhone to watch the games on Sunday (by swapping SIM cards), and got "not authorized" popups. Otherwise tethering works fine. My guess is that the Verizon has a specific range of IP addresses it uses, and non-Verizon IP addresses are blocked. If this is the case, is there any way to spoof a jailbroken iPhone's cellular data IP address? Or does anyone know of another workaround?

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I'm tethering a jailbroken iPhone (to a MBP connected to a 1080p projector producing a picture of approx 120 inches diagonal (10 feet) onto a high quality screen). There is no cable service available, and internet is limited to crappy 2 megabit DSL - not enough for HD, and it often freezes or degrades to 120p or worse for short periods. Meanwhile, up to this point, tethering has been flawless while using 3 GB an hour.

I checked the Elgato website and all the products that look interesting are "not available in your country".
I wonder if there's a small gizmo I could plug a TV antenna into and plug that into the projector. Just a bare bones device that decodes the over-the-air HDTV signal and has an HDMI output, and nothing more.

Strange that they're no longer available in U.S. . Looks like plenty of EyeTV units on eBay, though. The EyeTV Hybrid is a simple little USB dongle thar lets you get TV on you computer.
You can get a TV tuner with HDMI output pretty cheap. Like this one on Amazon:

I must be missing something then. Cuz the regular cbs website on the mbp will stream the super bowl free. So use the mbp to stream, using your iPhone as faster internet tethering. Unless you're actually tryin to watch the sb on your iPhone.

I am trying to understand why I am able to stream NFL on MBP on Wi-Fi, but when I tether to the iPhone, it is blocked. I just popped the SIM card into the old iPhone to check, and it has a Local cellular IP of 10.68.XX.XX, while the tethered MBP is given an IP of 172.20.XX.X. If I can understand how it is being detected, that will go a long way in helping to find a solution - if it's even possible.

I like the idea of an inexpensive tuner to plug directly into the projector, but it's another expense (especially if I need a separate antenna), and there's no way of knowing if it will even get a decent signal in the semi-remote location in a mountainous area. Amazingly, I get 3 bars on AT&T in one particular spot inside and get speeds of 6 megabits / sec, while none of the other carriers get reception at all, let alone even Edge speeds.

Only on Verizon. If I could get it directly on my AT&T iPhone 6S, I could use my Lightning to HDMI adaptor to plug into the projector. I use this for other sporting events and Netflix, and it works quite well.

I think if you'd have explained the situation ("Projector", "HDMI", "semi-remote location in a mountainous area") in the first post there wouldn't be so much confusion! Sounds like a group get-together at a chalet somewhere.

First, I think you might run into some trouble streaming. Everyone and their siblings will be trying it and you can expect issues. I noticed a lot of problems here with the playoffs and I've got plenty of bandwidth.

Having said that there's the tethering/iPhone/MBP on a VPN to someone's house possibility. Also, I don't know if renting a Verizon hotspot (or some other carrier) would work but you could check.

Are you now at the location where you'll be when you're watching? If not, can you find out if there's a decent over-the-air signal for the CBS station there? Because that's going to be the way to go if there is...with the Antenna>TV Tuner>HDMI>Projector setup.
