As you've read in the title I'm currently looking for an anti-theft styled backpack which is able to hold the following:

  • My MBP 13" within a dedicated pocket soft pocket
  • Bose QC35 headphones within its case right side up.
  • 750ml water bottle also preferably in its own pocket perhaps next to the headphones?

The dimensions of the headphone case is 15x5.5x21cm (Length x Width x Height)

I've already seen several anti-theft backpacks on amazon but there doesn't seem to be any with a pocket large enough to snuggly hold the headphones.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks

I somewhat myopic concerning this so forgive, but what is an anti-theft backpack and does it really deter theft?
It's basically a backpack which utilises 1 main zipper located under a hidden "flop" of material closest to the back of the person wearing the backpack.

This is one of them for example. No visible zips.

I wasn't being clear, what gives the owner some measure of assurance that the contents such as the MBP are any safer than a backpack that is not anti-theft?

You see I am almost 50 years old and I have carried a backpack of some type for over 40 years and still do today and it never crossed my mind that I need an antitheft one.

Do you use public transit daily, are you worried that someone will sneak something out of it while it is on you back.

I'm curious if I need one.

Ah my apologies. I understand now, I wasn't being very clear. It's more of an anti-pickpocket backpack than anything else. Hope that clears it up! Being pickpocketted is my biggest fear when it comes to someone stealing stuff out of my backpack

Okay, I'm following you now. Do you use public transit or some other situation where people bunched up together in close proximity?

I do from time to time. Also whenever I travel I just like to have the piece of mind knowing that my stuff will be safe whilst I'm not constantly looking over my shoulders.

Instead of waisting money on backpack that you might not even like, learn to use your environment around you to keep you and your gear safe...situation awareness is the key.

The best advice I can give you to prevent pick pocketing on public transportation, is to wear your back pack on your chest as if it was on your back. Both arms crossed in front of the pack. Once you have disembarked a vehicle, mount the pack on your back.

While in transit in a vehicle, keep your head high, scan your area for potential threat for people who might be targeting you. Dont be afraid to lock eye contact, if someone is playing a stare contest, squint your eyes, wink at them, smile and lick your lips. Unless it's a cute girl or kid, you don't want Seem like a creep.

Stay off the phone while in transit in a vehicle. A distracted target is an easy target.

Keep valuables in the front pockets of your pants; keys, wallet, phone, etc.

Practice these steps and buy a pack that you want.

Cut proof ballistic nylon could be of use.

There are so many shops are available in the market to buy. You should go different shop and buy according to your choice. I know markrydenbackpack.com provides good anti-theft backpack. You can buy from this company.
