I don't think that Apple will offer you a discount unless you're an authorized reseller which requires a lot of $ and much more than 25 units.

-I tried salehoo but was quite dissappointed

I tried salehoo.com but was left totally dissappointed with everything. It seems its near impossible to find something to sell on ebay these days. I don't understand how so many people are doing it

Any advice on if I should wait for new Ipods?

I've heard that a new line of ipods are coming or perhaps just 1 new one. Do you guys think I should wait till that comes out before jumping in?

I had found one person that was selling for 162 per unit around christmas for 25 units at a time. She just raised her rates when I got the cash together...that and the overall ebay price fell making it tough to make a 10 dollar profit. Depressing to say the least.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

A real job? Jobs are a joke...I have one and trust me I only work hard enough so they don't fire me and they only pay me enough so I don't quit. Why work when so many are simply buying low and selling high. Why not me? I'm not sure if agree with that mentality but to each their own. There are two types of gigs in the world....you are either working to make someone else rich or others are working to make you financially independent. I'm not sure about you but I don't want to retire broke and count on some company who doesn't care about me. Happened to many I know..they canned for some entry level college grad who will twice as hard for half the money.

Meanwhile the greatest redistribution of wealth the world has ever seen is happening before us with the internet and ebay. How could one not want to participate...its bigger than the gold rush of the 1800's. The crazy thing is its still in its infancy.

But I admire anyone who is willing to voice their opinion on something they believe in. I hope your job holds out for you. Sad thing is odds say it won't.

Anybody with me on this one?

HAHAHA, god you sound like your just got back from your weekend multi-level marketing seminar.

Remember, weather you think you can or you can't...your right!

I'm sorry I honestly do respect anyone who works hard and tries to make it on their own, because I know that is a very difficult thing to do. But I don't think selling goods on ebay is the magic bullet some people believe it to be.

Amen brother!

I would stay far away from bulk discounters of iPods or any other item that is authorized-dealer only. Either they are flat out scams (sometimes some innocent selling as an 'agent' for a scam artist), or they are people selling on spec who may not be able to deliver because they don't actually have the produce, or they are stolen-to-order products or used, or counterfeit, or some combination of the above. Trust me, there are not enough Apple authorized retailers going out of business and auctioning off their inventory to supply the grey market in these things.

Why would you suppose that some person in Skokie can supply iPods to you cheaper than stores can get them? Are you under the delusion that there is so much markup on iPods that stores are making 30% or 20% or even, gawd help us, 10% on Apple product?

But if you're going to be selling these on eBay won't you just be making eBay rich since you'll have to pay the listing fee, the final auction fee, and possibly even a PayPal fee?

Sounds like in the end you're just working to make someone else rich anyways.
