In an effort to, personally, stop using windows in my lab, I'm looking to migrate all my work to my macbook.

Currently, we use MS Visual Basic as a development environment for C programming. Does anyone know of anything comparable or better? I understand that Eclipse is good for Java. Does it work for C too? What about Xcode (never used it)? Thanks.

MS Visual Studio doesn't work like much else but you can use Eclipse via plug-ins for C and Xcode works just fine, too.

Xcode is okay as shipped but I've found it better to customise it with my own project templates to speed development.
