I was a die-hard Fantastical fan until they gave us customers the middle finger by going subscription. At that point, I found Calendar 366 which seemed to match Fantastical's functionality, so I installed it on my iPhone, my iPad and my Macs. Now, fast-forward a couple of years and I find Calendar 366 falling behind. There's little innovation, and support had waned. The developer seems to have disappeared on Twitter/X, which has been their primary support vehicle. I have a big (for me) issue with the Mac version and cannot get a response from the developer to even respond, let alone investigate/resolve the issue.

So, I am now looking for a reasonably priced, non-subscription cross-device calendar app for my iPhone, iPad and Macs.

Who's got a suggestion?

Take a look at 'Calendars.' A lifetime option is available.

Nope. No subscriptions. Period.

I used calendars for a year or so (the free version had everything I needed) but got tired of the "agenda" view.

I now use calendar 366 (also the free version) although I miss the widget that the Readdle one had, as it would partly change colour to match the calendar colour containing the event which was currently running. I really liked that, but can't have everything!

BusyCal indeed for iOS, iPadOS costs 9.99 dollar (pay once) for iOS/iPadOS (FamilySharing support, AppleWatch support) only. For Mac you can apparently buy it via their website (49.99 dollar), however not sure about updates though check site for further details. Excellent apps and almost perfect homescreen widgets (not always live data unless opened).
I use it together with my Google Calendar account on my desktop/laptop. I also love the fact that I can see my partner added calendar appointment in her calendar (that I can also see) to see what has been added.

Note: The Mac app in the App Store has a separate subscription price (39.99 dollar max per year), I guess you can however also use that app if you bought it via their website. I instead use on desktop/laptop Google Calendar website.
