Looking for contacts app with desktop portion

I am finding google contacts VERY difficult to enter data into.

If I have to, I'll keep Outlook Contacts instead. But that involves continuing to buy Microsoft Outlook...

Are there any ipod/iphone Contact apps out there that have their own desktop app companion?

Address Book in Mac OS X. I forget what Windows Vista/7's native address book is called, but it should work just as well.

Not sure what the issue is. I add a contact with full info in two seconds on gmail. then sync to phone. or vice versa. works fast and easy!

Having to click every field. Click add to add fields i need that are not already there, etc.

Basically every time I take my fingers off the keyboard it takes longer and longer.
