Are there any apps out that are similar to omnigraffle or visio (i know its MS ...don't hurt me) ? I need SOMETHING that will help me do professional looking network diagrams for a two building (five floors between the two) school I work for.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but I guess I could use that temporarily. I was looking more for something CAD like. What I am REALLY looking for to be specific ... be able to create "blueprints" with wiring included. I would also like to be able to sync between the iPhone and computer (either with SSH or via iTunes/Wi-Fi).
Use a computer. Are you really serious that you would do a network app with a phone? You can't be serious.
If I wasn't serious ... would I have posted the question?
I've worked with quite a few network designers that were wishing that they had a handheld device (instead of lugging around their laptop) that can draw up some quick simple cad-like sketches as they were touring a facility they'd be working on, so this isn't too unheard of it.
I'm sure someone is working on something like this; I've already seen apps for audio engineers to analyze audio and electrical engineers with checking their resistors(?) so a CadTouch app can't be too far away!
Haha... you're comparing figuring out the resistance of a resistor based on color scheme to a network diagraming program. Well... if you think those items are along the same lines of complexity...
You're both right.... network diagraming tools that rely heavily on XML substructures and linking will work GREAT on an iPhone. It should be about $0.99 or probably free. I expect it to be out by this time next decade. Let me know how it works.....
i just want mini-illustrator for the iphone. photoshop would be rediculous, but i honestly do not see why illustrator couldnt work. its basically a more refined version of the zeptopad app
cmon adobe! you gotta be making some apps!
my guess is actually that adobe will explode with iphone stuff at some conference. they have to. theyre too big to not be involved with the iphone

until they make one,
Sketches
is a really good drawing application for the iphone/touch
you even have a blueprint background and it depends on how good you are at drawing with your finger
but i use it for quick sketches and diagrams, save it to the device, and sync it later so i can use a laptop to enhance the idea

Well, they did get Flash working in the Simulator...
