Pretty sure optical drives are basically a generic commodity at this point. As long as it's Mac-compatible you probably can't go too wrong.
Ah, did not realize this! Thanks for the info. I guess last time I used whatever random generic CD/DVD drive must have been with my Intel iMac.Because the OP has an Apple Silicon based Mac, the number of options with support for AS Macs is noticeable smaller than the list of Mac-compatible drives:
I guess the last time a company developed a CD drive was before the invention of USBCIts also surprising the number of drives that do -not- have USB-C. I don't want a drive just to have to get an adapter to use it on my MBA M2 either.
But yes, I was looking at the same Zen drive too.
