..that you recommend for a 2023 M2 MacBook Pro?

I have a bunch of CDs that I’d like to rip and transfer to my iPod shuffle.

If size and a power supply aren't a issue, 5,25" drives are the best. Otherwise, all portable drives are pretty much the same.

You can also scavenge one from a an old computer, as long as it's SATA, and just buy the box to save some money.

Thank you for the response!

Pretty sure optical drives are basically a generic commodity at this point. As long as it's Mac-compatible you probably can't go too wrong.

Its also surprising the number of drives that do -not- have USB-C. I don't want a drive just to have to get an adapter to use it on my MBA M2 either.

But yes, I was looking at the same Zen drive too.

I guess the last time a company developed a CD drive was before the invention of USBC
