I'm a huge FIFA fan but I am without a console for a while. Was hoping for some recommendations. It doesn't seem PES or FIFA are available on Mac.

I heard FIFA 12 was but I can't seem to find anywhere to download/buy.

I'd prefer not having to deal with Bootcamp.

I wouldn't have suggested FIFA 12 anyway, since the Mac "port" was just some Cider crap.

Unfortunately, there aren't many football games available for Mac. I can only think of Awesome Soccer, which is some kind of remake of the mid-1990s Sensible Soccer (and looks like it).

the only football game on mac worth having isnt an action game, but its brilliant. football manager.

FIFA 12 might be "some cider crap" but it works flawlessly in my experience. Just because it's wrapped doesn't necessarily mean it'll work poorly or have issues. You can buy it from amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005OTGEQQ?pc_redir=1404881579&robot_redir=1 and you'll need a controller.

FIFA 15 will be out this year and it should be a nice step up with the new engine. But you'd need Bootcamp for that, and the system requirements are pretty high.

Football Manager isn't really my style.

I'll have to bite the bullet and get Bootcamp up and running I guess.

Not necessarily, but anything Transgaming has a hand in is bound to be quickly left behind unsupported.

Ah, Football Manager is great ;) Sure, it takes 5 hours to actually play your first match, and you have to decide the length and breadth of the pitch depending on your playing style, but it's great eventually :p

In all seriousness though, I've never played a good Mac football game apart from FM. Could you get a cheap PS3 for FIFA? I think it works best on a console.

yeah it sucks there are no football games on the mac, bootcamp is the only way i guess :(

Yep I have to agree.

I have wasted months of my life playing that game, started with Championship Manager 2 and have played pretty much every game since, I even worked on a few of them!
