i am looking for the best hidden gem apps for mac.

to maximize usage. give me some suggestions.

i have these apps that i use almost daily

Hazel
Alfred
Bartender
CleanshotX
1Password

thanks i use Maccy, very useful.

the others i havent heard of them, i will look into them they sound interesting.

Shottr and Hidden Bar in particular are must haves for any power user.

Accents and Rocket are really nice to have. The latter especially if you do a lot of texting and chatting online. Once you get used to typing out emojis instead of picking them from a menu, you'll never go back lol.

TextSniper as become a must-have for me. Adds a shortcut (⌘-⇧-2, right next to the screenshot shortcuts) that lets you clip a part of the screen and OCR copies the text right onto the clipboard. I use it constantly for things that can't be copied (like rasterized text) but also sometimes when I want to grab a piece of text to paste into what I'm typing that's in a separate window not in focus.

AutoMounter - Automates mounting of network drives.
Desktop Icon Manager (aka DIM) - Remembers and restores desktop icons to "remembered" locations.
iClip - Clipboard manager.
SABnzbd - Usenet newsgroup downloader.
ngPost - Usenet newsgroup uploader.

my apps i like:
Karabiner Elements = re-map keys
Hammerspoon = program your own system wide shortcuts and tools
warp - terminal app
iina - video player

BetterZip, ForkLift, PCalc

Three "Omni" apps - OmniGraffle, OmniOutliner, OmniFocus (I don't use OmniPlan).

Two "Devon" apps - DEVONThink and DEVONAgent.

Honestly, if you're using a plain web search (e.g. DuckDuckGo or the Goo) to really find things, you're being inundated with a lot of nonsense (in particular, paid-for Goo results). DEVONAgent is an amazing tool to find things that are actually relevant to your query.
