So I'm looking at getting a new laptop since my macbook screen cracked and fixing it seems too expensive since I can't do it myself.(I've heard I can still use the disc drive on itin some target disc mode also, is that right?) I was looking at the mba 13 inch standard model. Am I going to be frustrated with only having 2 gb of ram down the road. I use my laptop for microsoft office, surfing the internet, playing music/watching netflix, store some photos nothing crazy though, and I like to play the occassional game like civilization but certainly don't care too much about performance/graphics as long as the game runs I'm fine. Do you think the mba will work out well for me or should I look at the mbp? I don't really think holding off until the new mbp line is an option for me unless they announce them soon but I'm not sure of when the next Apple event is. Thanks for any input you can give me

only problem was that I planned on buying it from Best Buy since I get rewards pts and it's much closer to where I live than the Apple store. Best Buy said they couldn't get me that upgraded model.

This is the point to where you have to decide that; Would you rather save $20 or get a computer with the specs you really need.
For me it would be an easy decision as the RAM will create a much bigger benefit.

My 3yo iMac runs fine with 2GB RAM but I plan to order my MBA online so I can get the 4GB RAM--I don't care about the faster processor or the 256GB storage--but if you don't get that RAM now, you're stuck--I'd rather be happy and content with the 4GB than wonder if I made a mistake.
