Looking for Internet blocking software.

Okay, here's my situation.

I have a modem pluged into a router. I have one computer plugged into routers 1st slot. Then I have a switch connected to the router in it's 2nd slot. Connected to that switch are two computers. Is there some software that can disable internet to the computers connected to the switch after a certain amount of time? Like for instance, program it to let those comptuers online for 3 hours a day, and after that it just disables internet. I would assume that whenever the computer is signed on, the program will count that as time online, so even if you weren't actually using the internet, the time would be running out.

Is there such a thing?

In my Netgear WGR614 router, I can do this in the router settings. There is a "block services" option on the left nav. I can block by IP address or even by service, like WoW. I can also set a schedule.

I know for a fact that you can also block access at specified times on D-Link routers..

As the previous posters mentioned, your best bet is through your router's configuration interface. Otherwise, you might be interested in parental control software for greater customization on this front. I'm not aware of any really good open source or freeware parental control software (for Mac, or otherwise) but I'm sure a bit of research would do the trick.

I'll post here again if I come across something. Hopefully someone else will beat me to the punch.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but, my Dad uses SafeEyes for me and my brother.

I have SafeEyes 2005 on my Macs (have to have it or I don't like.. have a computer at all) and they limit the time by what hours I can go on. They just released SafeEyes 2006 for Mac and they added some more features and, i can't tell you for sure, but they might have what you're looking for.

It's got an application blocker, porn blocker (LOL), time blocker, etc.
