So here's the background I have a 2015 MacBook Pro and thought it was getting a little dated so I got the new MacBook Pro M1. After using it for a week I am not seeing much of a difference over my 2015 other than the Touch Bar and yes it is snappier but for what I do it's nothing to noticeable. I am a very average user productivity, YouTube, browsing, email, pages and numbers but I am on it quite a bit. For work I have a Thinkpad and a older iPad (which I don't like).

For my job I am in a technically sales role and do a lot of site surveys. I am thinking an iPad Air 4 with the smart folio keyboard and Apple Pencil would be extremely handy for taking notes, pictures and drawing out site notes and thoughts. I have tried the iPad pros before but they just seem so expensive to be brining on site to do these.

What are your thoughts? Keep the MacBook Pro M1, keep the 2015 MacBook and compliment it with in iPad Air 4 or iPad Pro 11?

Thanks in advance!

Have a 1tb 2015 13” MacBook pro and until they cone out with the rumored 14” would not go to the m1. Take back the MacBook 1 and get the 11in iPad Pro with 256gb on amazon for 849. The pro would be much better for your use case than the air. Especially drawing and note taking.

Wait for the 14" MacBook Pro before buying into Apple Silicon.

Somewhere!
Return the M1. Get the iPad Pro. I have a MBP 2013 and a 12.9 iPad Pro. Great combo to work with. If I need more power I use my Mac Pro or iMac.
