iOS Looking for iPhone app dev company / person

The place where I work at is looking to make a custom app for iPhone. Can anyone direct me to a right place or person?

I searched online freelance places like elance but not sure if thats the way to go. Also, I tried contacting the companies who made of the existing apps but most of them seem flakey and not unable to contact.

I would say that since the whole development scene is in its infancy for the iPhone, it will be pretty hard to find a "reliable" established big name in development for the platform. Good amateurs are the best I've seen so far in terms of getting someone to develop for you.

I've seen job postings for iPhone developers on Craigslist. Don't know if that gets any traction.
