Looking for Logic Board multimeter guide. Won't power on. Want to find the problem.

I have a 2008 Mini and it wil not power on and seems to not be receiving any power to the board.

I replaced the PRAM battery did all the reset tricks. Verified the power supply I have is correct for the model and works on other Mini's.

At this point it looks like it's between where the power plugs in and somewhere on the board. I want to try and find exactly where the path of power is broken so I can hopefully have a shot a fixing it. Are there any guides out there for tracking down at the board/component level using a meter where the issue is?

A replacement logic board cost more than this things worth. At this point I'm willing to use this as an opportunity to try out working on something at this level as it's otherwise trash.

Long Shot

What I used to do was to trace out the printed circuit board wiring. Also get a magnifying glass and try to identify the voltage regulator ICs. Then google the part numbers, which if successful could yield a data sheet, then you can probe the regulators to see if they are working OK.

Other than that take it to an authorised service centre and ask for a quote

or sell it on ebay.
