I want a male to female iPod extension cable to connect my 2nd generation iPod Touch to the Apple Universal Dock, which is connected to my TV to watch the Touch's videos via the S-Video output on the back of the dock.

I've found these two that appear to be what I'm looking for:
http://www.cablejive.com/dock-extender-cable
http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=8743

However, the descriptions for both of these extension cables say that there is no S-Video support. So if I use either of these extension cables I can no longer watch videos from my iPod Touch through the dock? Is it because the cable doesn't have Apple's chip in it? Seems silly. Any suggestions for a male to female extension cable to plug into my dock that will support video?

Thanks
