Looking for New Monitor ideas for my Family Mini

Ok, so I have a 22" Gateway which served me well but it is starting to go, so I am in search of a 23-24" monitor, but do I go LCD or LED, also I was thinking of the Refurb 24" Apple display, however it is kind of expensive compared to Samsung and HP 24" monitors, almost triple the price.
 
All monitors (well, 99%) are LCD. LED means the backlight is LED which is brighter and faster than older CCFL. IMO 24" Apple one is overpriced, just get a decent Samsung for example. They do their job just fine. I would recommend you to go in store to see them, monitor is always a personal opinion as we all have different eyes
