Hey guys, the youth room at my church recently got a new 21.5' imac (so excited) and we aren't going to set it up until we can have some form of really secure way on bolted it to the desk without a laptop lock.

I think i found something called a security shoe last week but it was only made for previous imac models.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

How about something like this?

no, i don't think either of those would be an option we could hit up. we want it to be nicely secured but not drill a hole in the computer or its base itself.

sweet, any ideas what i could do with that hole.

thanks btw that hole looks promising!

too easy haha....

Anyway, my band tours regularly and when we bring our iMac on the tour bus we have three holes drilled in the base and secure a lock through the hole. Good luck!

one solution to make use of the already existing hole is a vesa mount adapter
then you can fix the iMac to a wall or with a arm to the desk /wall , if you use these security bolds which have heads that break of after you tightend them up a pretty safe thing

other option would be to bold this casing on the wall and place the iMac inside
its used for outside tv's to protect them against theft weather and vandalism
(fan inside for cooling )

maybe not pretty , but you could always use a kensington lock with alarm during the time people to protect it are about and during nighttime lock it into the armagard case
