Looking for replacement Mini lower-bay SATA cable

I'm looking for a replacement SATA cable for my lower-bay drive on my Mini-2011. I damaged the original cable. IFixit does not have the part (only the top-bay cable) for their 2nd hard drive kit.

Anyone know a source? I've struck out.

I had damaged mine as well. Brought it to genius bar and they fixed it for free. Would have cost me $40 bucks if I had to pay them.

if you order at a regular apple tech support/service center it's around $ 20.00

Not a bad idea... my only question is.. does replacing the stock hard drives in any way void the warranty/apple care? I swapped out the stock dual 500GB drives for an SSD and a 1GB drive.. in the process I damaged the cable (was having all kinds of weird issues then noticed that one of the copper contacts on the cable looked like it had come off).

When I brought mine in, I had only had it for a few days. I had told them the truth about me failing when I tried to install the new drive and they did not mention anything about warranties. They were however concerned that I might have damaged the logic board but after a quick check they said it was good. They had said that they need to do the install of the new part as they will warranty the work. As there were no seals to be broken, I do not think that replacing the drive or ram would void any warranty unless they can prove that what you did was the cause of the problem. When i told them that there was a 3rd party drive, they did mention that they could not warranty the drive as part of the repair (as you would expect). So, I would recommend that you just put the drives in that you want in. Then bring it to the genius bar, tell them your story and they should repair it for you. They may or may not cover the price (not sure if I was a special case). Good luck.
