Android has apps which backup SMS messages to an email account, and it's awesome. One such app is called SMS Backup + by Jan Berkel.
However I've been looking for months and there seem to be no such apps for iOS.
(I already know about Apple's SMS "forwarding" - which is not the same thing and does not backup to an email account )
Does anyone know of a simple app where you specify an email address and it automatically (several times a day) backs up SMS messages?
(I hate not having a proper, readable SMS database which can be queried, etc.)

Thanks for any insights...

Ron

I believe there's an app called ibackupbot for Mac and Windows that will let you backup your SMS history

Is it possible in that program to back up your SMS messages, restore the phone with no backup and then put the messages back on. This is something I've wanted to do for ages.

Thanks

Wonder share mobiletrans does the job but it's paid app.

You can restore just messages using ibackupbot as well but still mobiletrans is easy compared to ibackupbot!
