Hi!

I have some very specific needs and am looking for opinions on different cards:

I have a Mac Pro 5.1, and I need to run both Mac OS 10.8.5 on it, as well as Mojave/maybe Catalina later. So any card that does not work with 10.8.5 is out of the question.
I don't need 4K resolution, and I'd like the quietest card possible. Right now I have a Radeon 7970, and it's so loud I can't bear it.
I'm working with audio and I need to be able to listen to the audio I'm working on, so I got my stock Radeon HD 5870 back in my machine for now to keep the volume low.
So if there's any card that is as quiet or even quieter than the stock 5870, but is still Metal-compatible and also compatible with 10.8.5, I would be happy!

These three cards here I have noticed that might fit my needs, but I can't see how loud they are and I don't want to take a risk by just buying one of those.

Nvidia GTX 760 2 GB
Nvidia GTX 780 3 GB
Nvidia GTX Titan 6 GB

Maybe you can help out here, any input would be greatly appreciated!

Apple dropped support for Nvidia a while back, so you aren't going to find drivers for anything current. For those cards, High Sierra is probably as far as you are going to be able to go.

Oh, really? That would be very annoying, and slim down the choices I have here as well...
On macvidcards.com it says that at least the GTX Titan 6GB is Mojave supported, though.
