looking to by 6"or 7" tablet which one is best

Nexus 7 and maybe the Dell Venue 7. You can find those pretty cheap on Amazon. Wrt the Nexus 7, i'd hold off on that as that was released in July and it's quite possible we'll see an announcement regarding the Nexus tablets in the next 2 months.

If that is your criteria I say go with the Nook HD tablet. Cheap thrills and you will have access to Google's Play Store.

The best device between 6" and 7" is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra 6.4" WI-FI model. Sony released a wi-fi only version of their massive tablet and I can say its AMAZING!!!. There are no differences between the two other then the ability to make calls and send and receive text messages.

Where can you buy this? Has it been released in the US yet?

I'm also interested in a small super light tablet for ereading. (I do have a Kindle and a Nexus 7 already).

And it's presently available only available in Japan with a price equivalent to $500 US.

I think I'd save about $240 and just get a 32GB Nexus 7.

As others have said, for the price and what you get, nothing beats the Nexus 7. The Dell Venue 7 or even 8 are good alternatives, but don't match the Nexus 7 in terms of screen, CPU, GPU, rooting capability, accessory add-ons like PS3 controllers, and so forth.

The LG Gpad 8.3 is almost the same size as an iPad mini, plus it isn't as long and narrow as most Android Tablets because its 16:10, not 16:9.

Plus its made out of Aluminium etc if you care about that etc. Nice sharp screen.

The G Pad is about the same size as the Mini, but feels different in your hand because of that 16:10 display ratio--longer and narrower.

Also have to disagree when comparing to other Android tablets--the G Pad, Nexus 7, and new Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 all have 16:10 display ratios so their proportions are all very similar, differing only with bezel sizes.

Don't get me wrong, not knocking the G Pad as I own one and prefer it very much over the Nexus 7 because of the expandable memory and larger display size.

I also suggest either a Nexus 7 or a Gpad 8.3 GPE. Anything smaller (6") and you may as well be using a phone.
