Hi,

Before the parts get discontinued, I would love to buy extra parts that I might need for the future.

I am looking for below in particular just for the aesthetics:

Name / Part #
Full enclosure / 922-9631
Access Door / 922-8902
PCIE slot cover / unknown (does anyone know?)

Now I have a few questions:

1) Where would be the best place to get Mac Pro parts (brand new, never used)?
2) What's the PCIE slot cover part #?
3) Would there be anything else that I should buy in advance in case of any failures in the future? (Thankfully, my Mac Pro has never had any issue for about 7 years now. Even my EVGA's GTX 680 has no issues for 5 years). Should I look for after-market-irreplaceable parts? What would be those?

Thanks a lot.

If you're based in the UK, Amsys might be able to help. I was looking at buying a PCIe SSD from the 2013 Mac Pro though them at one stage. The prices were.. offputting.

Considering the prices some are trying to sell these for new it would probably be cheaper for you to keep an eye on eBay for someone selling a complete working Mac Pro without any scratches, scuffs or dents. That way you would have enough working parts for anything that broke down and you could use it as a backup computer if you needed to run another unit. None of the three parts you listed are likely to break, although they could get banged up a bit moving the unit around.

I believe the PCIe slot cover (fence) has part number 922-8897.
[doublepost=1488210028][/doublepost]applecomponents.com has these parts listed as new although they're a bit pricey.

A couple of years back there was a company selling the complete case new with access door and power supply for about $350 on eBay.

Sorry I dont live in UK, I live in the US.

And thanks guys for the info.
But even if I buy the parts it seems like it would be nearly impossible for me to replace them with my level of knowledge. I can build PC's but im not at an engineer level to mess with the cords and stuff.
