I just ordered a macbook pro 2.0 ghz refurb and am expecting it in the next few days. I am however only getting it with the stock 512mhz ram which I would like to almost immediately upgrade with another 1gig stick I would have bought from apple, but I'm really looking for a better deal if possible as I just spent my poor college student savings on the new comp hehe (even now i'm running my tibook with 1ghz so 512 is quite a bump down for me and I heard the intel macs really need more ram especially for graphic intensive programs)
Anyway... on to the point. Does anyone have a suggestion of where I can get the best deal on a 1 gig stick of ram, and if there is any sort of macbook pro compatible ram that I should try to stay away from when looking for the best deal?
Any help or links or even anyone with available ram would be useful.
