Brand new to the forums. I'm looking to switch from a Windows PC to a Mac. I like the Mac Mini but not sure what I "need." I want to be able to play full 1080p BD ISOs with HD Audio, surf the web, and use Office for Mac. Will the base model with upgraded RAM be enough? I do not intend to do any gaming or encoding. Thanks!

The Mac mini will be more than able to do that, even Macs from 2007 and 2008 can do that (playing back BD ISOs seems to be the most strenuous activity you will throw at the computer).
More RAM is always good, but look at Newegg or OWC or the retailer of your choice (Amazon?) for much cheaper RAM kits (8GB can be had for less than 100 USD).
