BSQUARE Corporation, the leading software solutions provider to the global embedded device community, today announced it will port Adobe's Flash technology onto Google's Android platform for a global Tier 1 carrier.

Your headline lies somewhere between misleading and false. The Marketwire.com article says that BSQUARE will port Flash to Android. This has yet to begin and who knows when or if it will be finished. It is, however, generally understood that Apple is working with Adobe to port Flash to the iPhone. This was begun some time ago. If Apple and Adobe started before BSQUARE [which has yet to get started], then it is likely that they will finish before BSQUARE.

I would wager a private company contracted to simply port Flash to an open source OS will do so quicker than Apple and Adobe - two companies infamous for product delays - will, particularly since Apple has shown only mild interest in this even happening.

For what it's worth (probably not much), the "blogosphere" seems to agree with me on that.
