Loop Band Experience.

I currently have the 42 SS BCB and LOVE the look of it all together. My problem is the hole I'm wearing is a tad too tight for my preference. And the next hole, a tad too loose.

I intend to exchange my band this week and am curious as to what people's experiences are with the Leather Loops and Milanese Loop. I've seen many individual reviews but I'm hoping someone here has had experience with both bands and can give an unbiased review on them.

I'm uncertain as to which one I want more at the moment. Love leather, hate that there's no stainless anything on the band. Seems a little "plasticky". Love that the Milanese matches the watch's body, but it looks "flashy" for a sweats and t-shirt kind of day. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I have a black leather loop and I love it. Doesn't seem plastic to me. I wear it when I'm going out and whatnot. I use the sport band for just hanging around and working out/exercising. I don't have a Milanese but I've worn it and it's just not for me. Too flashy for me personally.

I don't get this comment about being plasticky either, if you look closely at the leather it's striated and therefore doesn't look like normal leather, but on a closer look certainly doesn't look like plastic. Apple has done a unique surface on the band. I have four loops, it's my favorite and I own the link and the sport. but for an overall dress/business look, it's killer.

I can't wear metal bands so the brown leather band is my go to "dress" band. It's really nice but the sport is just so comfortable it's hard to switch.

I guess I haven't looked closely enough at the band. Tried it on once and it was making clicking noises as I moved my wrist around. Gave off a plastic sound in my opinion. The imprint on the leather is hard to adjust to I guess since I'm used to the subtler appearance of the BCB. I'm leaning more towards the black loop because I too think the Milanese is pretty flashy.

That's because you tightened it too tight, seems everyone does it as it is easy to "grip it and rip it", back it off one indentation at a time and the noise goes away, at least on my 4 loops it does....

I prefer the leather loop to the Milanese loop. Very comfortable, not clicky or plasticky as other have described.

I sold my Milanese loop after wearing it for a day. I felt the Milanese loop was very cheap and flimsy and did not like it at all. Of course, I'm also used to wearing a Breitling mesh bracelet which you can't even compare to Apple's offering, so that may be the cause of my displeasure with the Milanese.

I tried the leather loop with the Space Grey Sports.. Does go very well indeed, BUT, and I find a big BUT, you only have to "catch" the leather bit that loops to the underside of the loop, in maybe your jean pocket, edge of something.. a book, laptop screen, and the loop comes undone.. dangleing down, and your watch might "drop off".

It needs a "clasp" to secure it to the underside of the loop..

Hope you all get my drift there.. difficult to explain.

I have both (42mm large black) and, overall, I find the Leather Loop to be a bit more comfortable. I also think it looks pretty sharp, though I can understand the views of those who feel it looks and/or feels like it is made of plastic. I have not made any effort to treat/condition it, however.

I intend to use the LL for daily wear and save the Milanese Loop for more formal occasions.

I had what sounds like a similar issue when I first attached it - only the magnet at the end of the band connected so it was very loose and a slight shake would cause it to drop off. I assume I put it on wrong because I tried again a few days later and now the entire overhang of the band connects so it is as tight as the Milanese Loop and there is now no drooping.

I would say exactly what kirkhuffy says with the exception that if there was a black Milanese band, I would have bought that as well for dressier occasions. I, too, hate being stuck with pre-set holes due to my wrist swelling during the day. The Loop has been good in that respect, but after trying it at the Apple Store, I'm very sure that I'd love the Milanese as well - it just doesn't go with a SG watch.

The loop doesn't feel plasticy, and goes decently with dress attire.

Went and did the exchange. Got the stone (tan looking) leather loop. It does look better now that its been on my wrist for more than a 10 second try on. The clicking has NOT stopped though. Loosened it to the point it was almost dangling on my wrist and you can still hear and feel the clicks. Hoping it's just because it's new/stiff for now. I think in that regard, although flashier, the Milanese is quieter.

Try opening the band to where it's going straight through the loop on the other half. Now, re-fasten it such that there is a tiny bit of slack. That should eliminate or significantly mitigate the clicks.

It worked. Lot easier than keeping it wrapped around your wrist and making cm adjustments. I do think I prefer the black loop to the stone tan one though.
