hey guys, each time i try to format the ipod classic 80gb using mac os journaled type but when i hit ease, the msg "connection lost, and quitting disk utility"
some said deleting quicktime from application would work, but it didnt. My quicktime ver is 7.02....

so how can i fix this ?

Try it on a different USB port. If it's saying it's losing connection, the USB connection you're using might be faulty. I say this from first hand experience.

AND, you should be setting up your iPod in iTunes...NOT in disc utility.

well iam using disk utility is because iam trying to use ipod as a boot drive. since i dont have a burner in my macbook. and both usb ports still have same issue on disk utlity.

thanks neways
