For some reason every month or so, when I open Photoshop I get a message that says the app has been moved. I enter my password and it immediately finds and opens the app. The app is in the Applications folder, but when looking into this I noticed that I actually have two applications folders. One, which is empty, is in the HD/users/"name"/applications, and the other, which includes all the apps, is in HD/applications.

What is going on here? should I delete the one that is in the users folder and empty? Should I move the one in the HD root directory to the users folder?

Don't want to do anything really stupid here....

Can you please remove the "HD" before the "/"? The HD is /, so by saying "HD/" you're really saying "//"

If the ~/Applications folder is empty, you can delete it. /Applications should stay.

OK, thanks....but does this have anything to do with why Photoshop apparently moves itself or cannot be found every now and then?
