A couple of days ago i was able to put custom ringtones onto my iphone without actually buying them by changing it to the .m4r . Then when i hooked up my iPhone to iTunes, it removed the ringtones when I synced them, and it wont allow me to add more. It says that the file is not supported. Has anyone else noticed this?

No they didn't. They changed the hack. Go to your iTunes Music folder and find the Ringtones folder. Change the file extension from .M4R to .M4A and they will work just fine.

But yeah, the word you're looking for is "losing" ... as "loosing" would be used as a synonym for "releasing" or "to let loose."

You lose a game of chess.
Your pants are loose because you've lost weight.
I will lose this round of golf.
Your grip on the club is too loose.
