I'm running a first gen iPhone hacked with ziPhone. I have installed Summerboard and Customize and somehow i have lost the ability to change the wallpaper in Prefs.

I've tried turning on and off the wallpaper options in summerboard, i've uninstalled and reinstalled SMB and Customize.

Any help out there?

Do you have a custom theme installed? if so.. you can't change the wallpaper! you've to access your phone's files thru CyberDuck and change it from the theme folder itself.
lemme know!

Cant Delete files

Just installed mobileFinder and tried to delete that LockWallpaper file...

It wont delete! I've also tried copying and pasting other backgrounds into the Customize wallpaper folder to no avail...

What about a Restore? If I save my contacts in Addrsssbook and sync my calendar to my google calendar with NemuSync, will a resore and running ziPhone be a safe bet?

SSH to your phone, go to the SummerBoard folder - Themes - your current theme - replace the Wallpaper.png with any pic you want.

Solved

Not having SSH on my iPhone, I tried deleting the pesky LockBackground.jpg file through vTerm, which i DO have on my iPhone.

After understanding my working directory (pwd) and cd .. and cd into the RIGHT directory i did a good old rm -i on that file and when asked for confirm a simple y and [enter] deleted the file and unlocked my wallpaper!

Thanks to my Friend Ricardao for help with Unix commands...
