I accidentally damaged my 6s and had to borrow a loaner 6 at work while I had it repaired. The migration from the 6s to the 6 went flawlessly and it transferred all data as I expected it to.
However, yesterday I got my phone back. I backed up my loaner a final time, then updated and restored my regular phone. But after the restore completed, all Activity and achievements I've earned on my loaner were gone.
The loaner is wiped and returned, so I don't have any illusion of being able to restore the data, but does anyone here have a likely explanation for what happened and how to avoid it happening when I replace my phone the next time?
