I lost one of my buds last night. After searching for a long time I ordered the replacement. Cost $115 CDN. Seven hours later I found it and quickly called Apple to cancel the order. It showed “Part Shipment Pending” on the status page but support said it’s already packaged and waiting shipment in the warehouse, and was told there’s nothing that can be done.
After threatening to never buy Apple products going forward I was bumped to Level 2 support. Level 2 told me they can’t stop the shipment but it can be returned back to them and to not open the package after receiving it.
I just wanted to let you guys know what happened in this situation. If it ever happens to you, you will know what you might expect. I’ll update this if something goes wrong with the return.
