Lost AirPods1 charging case

Hi everyone,

I purchased a pair of original AirPods in early 2017. I have used them very regularly for phone calls, gym, and travel.

Anyways i lost the charging case in an UBER a few days ago. I’m unlikely to get them back.

The battery on the AirPods is fairly drained. Should i go ahead and just buy the AirPods 2? Or just go to the apple store and get a replacement case?

Have you seen the battery life degrade? Amazon has the 2nd gens for 144 right now. I think Apple charges 69 bucks for the charging case. So half of what a whole new set would
Cost. Or pay 69 now and wait for the AirPods 3 this year some time.

Yes they were not lasting all that long.

Depends on whether your ears can hold the AirPods well. Some people have bigger ears and the AirPods are loose and sound quality is therefore terrible.

These are very different IMO. I think the airpods are more comfortable and better for a work environment where I want to be able to hear outside noises better. The PBP are great for blocking out a lot more ambient noise and for working out but are not quite as comfortable over long periods of time due to the ear clip.
