Lost all Desktop and iPhone bookmarks after installing Boss Tool and synced!!!!

please help me guys and gals if possible!!!

after many years of collecting my bookmarks, after syncing my phone today (the first one since Boss Tool was installed on my phone), all my mac and my phone bookmarks have disappeared completely!!!

i did back them up about 6 weeks ago, but in that time i have been doing many projects and was due to back everything up at the end of january.

ive lost tons of links and i really need to find them..

my plist file seems ok, but its empty, and the modification date is the time of the sync..

can anyone rescue me?

Sorry but they're probably gone, unless you managed to shut down your computer immediately and purchase some recovery software...

your sig says your running tiger...... please say you upgraded to leopard ....
if you have you can use time machine.

alternativly do you sync your bookmarks with .mac ?

if not and if you have written to your drive chances are they have gone even if you use software recovery there are no guarentees that you will get them back.

i have leopard, back up to .mac and also delicious that way i know that i have 3 backups

maybe now is a good time to invest in leopard.
